How does the OKHOR tracking device connect to the internet?
Every OKHOR device is shipped with an integrated multi-network IoT eSIM that connects automatically to tier-1 cellular carriers (such as MTN, Airtel, Vodacom, AT&T) in over 180 countries. Cellular data is included in your monthly plan with zero setup or roaming fees.
How long does installation take?
For the OKHOR Track (OBD-II) device, installation takes less than 60 seconds: simply plug it into the diagnostic port under your steering wheel. For the OKHOR Secure (Hardwired) device, installation takes approximately 25-45 minutes by any certified auto electrician or our mobile installation network.
What happens if the vehicle battery is disconnected by thieves?
OKHOR Secure and CAN Pro hardware feature an internal rechargeable lithium-polymer backup battery. The instant main power is disconnected, the device triggers an emergency "Cut-Wire Tamper Alert" to your phone and continues transmitting live GPS coordinates for up to 72 hours.
Can I bring my own GPS tracking hardware (BYOD)?
Yes! OKHOR natively supports hardware from Teltonika, Queclink, Suntech, Concox, and Meitrack. You can simply point your devices' IP/port to our ingestion gateway and connect in minutes.
Is the remote engine immobiliser safe to use while driving?
Yes. OKHOR employs safety-first immobilisation firmware. If you trigger an engine cut command while the vehicle is in motion, the platform will wait until the vehicle decelerates to a safe stop (0 km/h) before cutting starter relay power, preventing accidents.
How does the Park Lock 30-meter sentry work?
When you park and walk away, one tap in the mobile app sets a virtual 30-meter radius around your vehicle. If the car is moved, towed, or pushed without ignition, an audible emergency alarm sounds on your phone within 3 seconds.
Can OKHOR integrate with our dealership DMS or loan servicing system?
Absolutely. We provide REST APIs and Webhooks that integrate directly with major dealership DMS, accounting platforms, and core banking loan management systems.
